Our retreats combine clinical excellence with holistic healing—offering evidence-based therapies, world-class spa treatments, personalized coaching, and end-to-end support in a confidential, dignified environment.

Who is eligible for a free retreat?
Veterans, First Responders (police, firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers), Professional Athletes, and communities in need of mental healthcare are eligible. A neutral committee reviews all applications based on need, urgency, referrals, and availability.
What does the retreat experience include?
Each 5+ night stay includes individual and group therapy, EMDR and trauma-focused CBT, holistic healing (yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing), luxury spa treatments (massage, saunas, float therapy), gourmet meals, complimentary transfers to and from the nearest airport or bus station, and a personalized aftercare plan with ongoing online support.
Is everything really free?
Yes — 100% free for selected applicants. Airport and station transfers, clinical care, spa treatments, meals, accommodations, and aftercare are all included at no cost. Our retreats are funded entirely by sponsors and donors.
How do I apply for a retreat?
Applications will open when our first retreat launches in 2026. You can contact us now to express interest and be notified when applications go live.

Is Awakening Medical Retreat a registered charity?
Yes. Awakening Medical Retreat is a 501(c)3 public charity. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
What clinical standards do you follow?
Our clinical team includes licensed psychologists (PhD/PsyD), registered nurses, and certified life coaches. We pursue Joint Commission and CARF accreditation, maintain HIPAA compliance, and use evidence-based, trauma-informed therapies including DBT, CBT, and EMDR.
Where will retreats be located?
We're planning to open three retreats in 2026, with locations to be determined based on sponsor partnerships and community needs. Our long-term vision is to establish a retreat in every U.S. state.
